“Finders keepers” is a short story

“Finders keepers” is a short story by Frank Brennan. It is the fifth and last tale in the book: “The Fruitcake special and other stories”.

Under this suggestive title we can see how Harry Chen, a lecturer in archaeology in Singapore, discovers a curious object that was hidden inside an old grave.

Chen loved antiques that he couldn´t afford to buy. He used to steal little things which he found at work. He kept them at home where only he could watch them.

While his boss, Professor Teo, researched about a person buried in the tomb he found an object, a whistle, with a misterious inscription , and he decided to pocket it and to blow it, but something different will happen this time.
